Yoshie Sakuma is a New York City–based Japanese Hair Straightening Specialist, stylist, and educator with more than 30 years of experience. Trained in Tokyo, she moved to New York in 2001 and built her career at leading Manhattan salons, including Momotaro, Pierre Michel Salon, and now Toka Salon.
Known for her meticulous approach, Yoshie focuses not only on creating beautifully straight hair, but also on maintaining its shine, movement, and healthy-looking condition. Each service is customized according to the client’s hair texture, condition, and chemical history.
For more than 17 years, Yoshie has educated hair professionals across the United States in advanced Japanese hair straightening techniques. Her expertise has also been featured on national television and in leading beauty publications.
